Well, the fires came this weekend. Carried by the Santana winds.
The whole valley was on shut down; street lights were off and accidents every mile. The weather was hot and it snowed ash from an orange sky. In the day I couldn't see the eastern hills because of smoke and at night the northern hills glowed red.
Despite the destruction and despite my smoke filled lungs, it was beautiful.
Beautiful in an apocalyptic sort of way.

Holy crap! I knew I shouldn't have done that paypal thing!
Someone in Dublin tried to spend 1,200 on my debit card!
Thankfully the bank didn't let them.

So... I'm thinking about being a nurse instead of a teacher.
I would have to take a whole lot of sciences... which I haven't taken any of yet. So, the prerequisites would take about a year.
The nursing program takes two years and costs 5,000 to get into (not including the cost of classes). While becoming a teacher would take about four more years and a whole lot more money.
I don't know. Either people think I'd make a great nurse or they think it's a...
