How to post pictures

For the people who aren't too sure about what they're doing, follow this:

There are two easy ways to do this. One is through imageshack and the other is through photobucket.

1. If you don't have one, create an account...it's free and takes like two seconds.
2. Log-in
3. Upload a picture
a) If you're using a picture that is on your harddrive, the upload form that is shown is the correct one. Just click "browse" and find the file you want.
b) If you're using a picture from a website, click where it says "web site" in blue (it should be underneath the box for a file name). MAKE SURE THE URL HAS AN APPROPRIATE ENDING (.jpg and the like). If it DOES NOT have an appropriate ending, right click the picture and click "save picture as" and then follow the directions in 3a. If the ending is correct, copy and paste the URL into the box.
4. Click "upload."
5. After a few seconds, it will say "image uploaded," the picture will show up at the bottom of the screen and three codes will show up underneath the picture. Copy the last code, also called the IMG code because it has [IMG] tags, and then paste it in your post.

Imageshack
1. Upload a picture. Again, depending on where the picture is coming from, make sure the appropriate box is clicked.
2. If you are taking a pic from your computer, click browse and find your file. If you are using a URL, copy and paste the URL of the picture. If the ending of the URL is inappropriate, right click the image and save it to your computer. Then, just upload it like you would any other pic from your hard drive.
3. BEFORE YOU CLICK "UPLOAD"
a) check the box that says "resize image?" and scroll down to 800x600 for 15" monitor. This way, the picture won't be too big or too small.
b) check the box that says "remove size/resolution bar from thumbnail?"
4. Click "upload."
5. Imageshack gives you A LOT of links. If you scroll down you'll see something that says "Hotlink for Forums (1)." Copy this and paste it into your post.
