I tend to agree that the reason matter immensely. For Putin, a random Chinese peasant and so on, not at all. In fact, I think it's incredibly unlikely I'd do it for anybody. Luckily I doubt I'll ever have to choose between family and friends or myself. Either way, the answer would suck.
