Who Wrote the Bible?
Who Wrote the Bible? Is the Bible the Word of God? Why is the Bible full of Contradictions?
This documentary explores questions at the ... all » heart of the great Christian faith in a fair open-minded fashion. It is NOT meant to be inflammatory but informative. The truth one will see is the Bible is NOT what it is thought to be. So what is the Bible? Find out!
Visit IslamicVideos.net for more videos like this!
Now since we can see Christianity is not what we thought it was, we can try and learn about Islam, a religion that many equate with terrorism. Search and learn about Islam as it is thought even by the most educated people on Earth to be the ultimate way to truth and happiness, in the truest sense of the word.
My thoughts:
I'm watching it now so I have no opinion on this video just yet.
haha commercials...

Holy shit that was long.
And holy shit I want to shoot that last asshole who got interviewed.
Why the fuck didn't he run off to Iraq if he felt so strongly there should be more troops sent? Wage your own fucking jihad.
Horsefucking hypocrite.
Aside from that, it's common knowledge now that the timeline given in the Bible is flawed to the point of being untrustworthy.
Well, that it's flawed, at least. I think it's untrustworthy.
Like the rest of the bullshit that appears in it.

The Bible doesn't claim to be a history book, and only some of it reads like that.

But if you can't trust it when it talks about the past, how can you trust it when it talks about the future?

Good point, but you have to realize that the books aren't ordered chronologically. Is there an accurate timeline in which the Jews lived in Egypt, left Egypt, conquered the land known as Canaan, were eventually invaded and conquered by the Assyrians, and the Babylonians, returned (partially) to Canaan, rebuilt their temple, be put under the rule of the Roman Empire, had Jesus come and leave, and had the temple destroyed in 70 AD? Yes, there is. If the Bible doesn't put those things in order (that is, the people who compile the Bible in the way it is compiled due to tradition and some inclination I don't understand), why does it matter? Those things are still recorded in the Bible, and they still happened.

Um, I didn't realize the accuracy of the timeline was the point of contention. Nevermind my post; I see what I missed.

I don't know what that phrase, "point of contention" means.

The dispute, the issue being debated, etc. I thought you meant it wasn't a history book as in informationally accurate, not chronologically.
