The New Seven Deadly Sins

Recently, the Vatican released an updated list of the Seven Deadly Sins, geared towards modern day life. They are as follows:

Abortion/Use-of-contraceptives (Condoms)
Paedophilia
Polluting
Hoarding vast wealth
Taking drugs
Genetic engineering (cloning)
Causing social injustice (which really goes along with hoarding vast wealth according to the meaning they give)

I'm going to come right out and say this. I fucking hate the Catholic Church. The Vatican is nothing more than a pompous, bloated hypocrite that serves only as a figurehead for the entire fucked up religion. Where in the Bible are the Seven Deadly Sins (Old or New)? Nowhere. This is just more bullshit the church is spewing out to try to appear active.

To prove my point, I'm going to illustrate how ironic these things are:
Paedophilia
Hoarding Vast Wealth
Causing Social Injustice

I assume you all get what I am trying to say by now...

So wait...when God wrote the Commandments in stone...did he say "oh, by the way, you guys can update these whenever you feel like it."

I love how the Vatican can change the rules whenever they feel like it. @_@

I'll be very honest. I myself (until I decide to convert) am Catholic. Whoever is Catholic and is not questioning this like I am is in severe denial. You know what though? I'll still believe in God but, there is no way I am going to acknowedge the Seven Deadly Sins v.2.0a. Hell, I have a hard time keeping to the old ones lol

The cloning and sexual contraceptives 'sins' on the list are the ones that really piss me off. I will never understand how most all churches and religions preach to the end of the fucking earth about paradise in the afterlife and how great it's going to be with no suffering, yet the technology is there, it's RIGHT FUCKING THERE, available to mankind, yet asshole institutions like these deem unbelievable useful technologies, 'sins' and pollute any future young minds from persuing them. And in essence, banning condoms is saying 'be abstinant', without actually saying it...again.

so, to the Pope, and to the Catholic Church, here's a big FUCK YOU!, wake the fuck up, it's 2008 already!

It reminds me of a comment made about the first seven about how you find the things that people are naturally inclined to do and convince them it's bad and that only you can fix it for them, and poof, religion.

Yeah, it's what I've said many times over the past few years:

"The JudeoChristian faith is the biggest scam in history. They've expertly convinced everyone that everything that makes you human is a sin, and set themselves up as the only establishment capable of forgiving your sins for a price."

That's just my interpretation, though. People can think what they will.

This is just like how the Mormon's church changes its rules every few years...or under certain circumstances it's "okay" to do things, say, for example...there's a rated R movie someone wants to see, but that's a "sin" to their church, but they'll figure some loophole around it for that one time...gah! I'm ranting from personal experience with this one...we had a buddy that was Mormon, and he'd always try to trick us into buy his ticket without paying us back--which technically cleared him to see the movie...

Thank God I'm not Catholic either...the only thing I've liked about the Catholic Church was Paladin Alexander Anderson...and he was a fictional character. Psychotic preachers ftw!!
