Take a look at this, fucking crazy shit! This is what the net worth of many historical figures (alive or dead) would be if converted to US funds as of 2007.

Who else isn't surprised that J.D. Rockefeller came up first?

I'll tell you what I was surprised about, though, that Marcus Licinius Crassus ranks up at 8th. That's awesome. I'm also surprised that Queen Elizabeth is way down at 83rd. Britain fucking owned half the world a scant few centuries ago, and had most of Africa's wealth supplementing its own... plus Hong Kong and Singapore, which were major trade posts.

Then again, they lost a lot when Buckingham Palace had that fire...

Sidenote: back to Marcus Licinius Crassus... how ironic is it that he was one of the wealthiest people in history... and he was killed when his enemies poured molten gold down his throat...
