Wow, from what I've seen of Palin so far, she can't speak FOR SHIT! IMO, she's worse at speaking than McCain is. All she does is mumble some bullshit for a good 2-2 1/2 minutes and doesn't even answer anything, I don't even think she know's wtf she's talking about, it is embarrassing. She's not only stupid, she has absolutely no idea how the fuck foreign policy works, what needs to change, she's a die hard Christian against all abortions, even if the girl was raped by her father (what?!), she's even against the morning after pill! She has zero accomplishments under her belt... she want's to teach alternatives to evolution in public schools, seriously, I don't think a VP candidate could be any worse... McCain must be out of his fuckin' mind to put her on the ticket, why not just GIVE Obama the presidency, what a douche...

Bottom line, I like Palin but mainly because she comes from the state which beholds the motherload of resources and for me and my family who reside in the backwoods of Washington...her tastes hunting and owning firearms represents my friends and family out here, we are misrepresented by the liberals in Seattle (who run this beautiful state) and the conservatives all over the nation because of their lack of attention towards the Pacific Northwest.

Palin is that candidate for VP who comes from our neck of the woods and from a small woodsy environment where people hunt, fish and log for a living.
Sometimes the country needs a President or rather a VP who will do what is necessary and not what the people necessarily want. As recent history has shown us the people are generally stupid and do not know what they want. Its like asking a bunch of kids to pick the President, when one candidate offers candy and sweets and the other a balanced healthy diet and a structured daily routine with rules and chores.

Personally I never liked Palin or McCain, but God while watching this debate I wished I could reach into the TV and choke that bitch out.

NEVER EVER trust anyone who pulls a 180 with their principles on such short notice. Because it shows they have no principles other than those needed to gain the popular vote. After all wasn't it McCain and people like Palin who were preaching just a month ago, that this country needs strict conservatism, a free and completely unregulated market, privatize everything, and that only unpatriotic terrorists want change. Compare that to what was said at the debate and you see a COMPLETE 180 degree turn around now that the economy tanked, and to add insult to injury she actually attacked Democrats/Liberals for being too conservative over the last 8 years and for not heeding the warnings of McCain about this economic crisis. Literally, if you looked at the back of Palin and McCain's cars you will still find a bumper sticker that says "Change = Terrorists Win"

Oh and as far as this economic crisis goes...

I TOLD YOU SO!!!!

Just doesn't quite do it.

I still laugh at people who are delusional enough to believe that because a candidate comes from hickville and owns a gun, they will represent their interests in DC, and that somehow that is reason enough to vote for them... What ever happened to things that actually matter? Plus are you willing to trust someone who hides their finances from the public, even though they are required to reveal them? Oh and its not that I want to see so I can put her down for being rich, I already know she is, I just want to know if there is perhaps a reason that as soon as she came into office in Alaska that oil well and pipelines started popping up in illegal places...

Didn't someone teach her when you debate you have to actually make a point?

None of them made any points on issues...McCain is pretty smart because of his time in congress just like Biden but with Obama and Palin you got two unknowns; but as I said I ALWAYS vote and I pick the best of the worst usually because the worst is all they produce for us to vote from.

Really debates are useless anymore because what they say on that big stage isn't necessarily what they are going to do if given the nomination and throughout history the worlds finest leaders and the worlds cruelest dictators often have the opposite effect in front of large audiences...dictators generally appeal strongly to the people until they get the power they desire while great leaders usually come in with low expectations and do amazing things...

Hence why Obama's blabbing and his "I wanna be like MLK Jr." approach disgusts me as much as McCain acting uncharacteristically conservative.

I thought Palin showed us who she really is that night: A woman who has been in the right place at the right time, groomed to make the American people love her "woman-ness," and far too inexperienced to be at the right hand of the leader of the United States. Another point I wanted to make that night (but was too short on time to do so) is that her "shout out" to the third graders somewhere or other made me want to throw my shoe at the television in hopes it would strike her in the forehead.

I agree, all our options are pretty shitty, but I think Obama's choice for a VP was far wiser than McCain's sad attempt to get the women's vote.

and um...what does ka-tiz mean? does anyone know?
