Response from my Congressman concerning the Federal Reserve

I sent a letter to my congressman who represents where I live (San diego, CA)

Basically I just went on about how the federal reserve continually defaces the value of the dollar, inflation, and so on and so on

This was here response a week or so later:

Dear Lance,

Thank you for taking the time to contact me with your concerns regarding the Federal Reserve System. I appreciate hearing from you and welcome the opportunity to respond.

Like you, I believe that proper handling of our nation's minting and banking systems are exceptionally important to our infrastructure. I understand the gravity your concerns and will certainly continue to monitor financial legislation as it is proposed in the House of Representatives.

You may be interested to learn of Representative Ron Paul's Federal Reserve Board Abolition Act (H.R. 2755). H.R. 2755 would repeal the Federal Reserve Act of 1913 and abolish the Federal Reserve System. This legislation has been referred to the House Financial Services Committee. Although I do not serve on this committee, I will be sure to keep your thoughts in mind should H.R. 2755 come before the full House of Representatives.

Wow that's awesome. When I write my congress and senate reps, I get handy dandy pre-fab letters that don't tell me jackshit other than their automated letter answering system works just fine.

Your rep is well suited to her position. Too many reps don't respond or if they do it's not anything helpful.

At least some of them seem to care enough to respond back, but who knows if that's really her or not...

But regardless, SOMEONE took the time to respond to you with actual information, which is better than my experience.

That's better than what I ever got, but then again I usually send stuff to my senators and reps via e-mail. I did get a letter from Pres. Clinton's secretary when I was like seven or eight. I still have the letter. I was so proud to be getting something from the White House. To be so naive and young.

I was just talking to another friend of mine in S.D...he was telling me that Susan Davis usually gets her 'minions' to reply shit :-o he said he dealt with her on issues like impeachment..
