Giuliani will drop out, endorse McCain
Source: CNN Political Ticker: All politics, all the time - Blogs from CNN.com
Quote:
(CNN) — Rudy Giuliani will endorse John McCain Wednesday in California, two GOP sources familiar with the discussions told CNN Tuesday.
McCain's campaign manager, Rick Davis, had been in "ongoing discussions" with Rudy Giuliani's campaign about the former New York mayor ending his run and actively endorsing McCain's candidacy, according to a GOP official familiar with talks.
CNN projected that Arizona Sen. McCain would win the Florida GOP primary Tuesday night, beating former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney, with Giuliani in a tight race for third with former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee.
Giuliani skipped the early primary and caucus campaigns, putting all his efforts into Florida and next Tuesday's Super Tuesday races.
Speaking to supporters in Orlando, Giuliani praised his own campaign.
"You don't always win, but you can always try to do it right," he said.
"Win or lose, our work is not done because leaders dream of a better future and then they help to bring it into reality."

I watched Giuliani announce this on CNN and he went on and on about how great the other candidates were and how happy he was to run a campaign of ideals without getting into partisan bickering or the name calling and mud slinging so common today.
Then he promptly took a few jabs at how well Paul did in winning all the polls after the debates, you know, "those ones where you call in."

The one's where you call in are unscientific. Ron Paul wins lots of those polls, and lots of internet polls...but gets single digits in a lot of primaries.

Ron Paul beat Guiliani in several other states but did fail to get much of the vote in Florida.
As for polling in the single digits...
Thats thanks to there being more uneducated people than educated.
Anyone can be black and feel Obama is a charasmatic leader for them.
Anyone can be female and feel Hillary will get them the health care they need.
Anyone can be afraid of "terrorism" and love the idea of McCain's 100-year war.
Not everyone reads into everything...

A lot of that has to do with the mainstream media and the amount of coverage they give to Dr. Paul, compared to the other candidates.
And I was referring to the fact that Paul is still in the race, in contrast to Mr. Guiliani, who put all his eggs in one basket with Florida and it turned out not to be the best idea ever, so then he decides to endorse the only other complete psycopath in the race... that's all I was pointing out.

Not to mention he placed 2nd in Nevada, 2nd in Luisiana and could have strong turnout in California. Also he had more points in the primary than Rudy and Fred, forcing them to quit. Ron Paul spent a lot of time targeting Rudy in this race, since they clashed a lot in the debates.
