Congress grilling MLB... why can't this happen in other areas...

Link ---> The Official Site of Major League Baseball: News: McNamee meets with Congress

Ok, for any Americans, or Major League Baseball fans in the world, you might have heard about the incredibly lengthy ( 4 1/2 HOURS ) session today that happened between some members of the U.S. congress and Roger Clemens and Brian MacNamee.

If you got to watch any parts of this (You can see clips in my link)
you would have noticed that some of the congressmen got really angry, both personally and in a sense of right-wrong legal/illegal. It was amazing to see how persistent and head-strong they were towards Roger Clemens and MacNamee. After all, this is something that matters to them and many people...

But it got me thinking.. and yes, incredibly pissed off, that why in the hell hasn't this been done with 9/11?? Yes, besides the arguably "impartial" 9/11 commission report that didn't happen until much later after 9/11, there has been nothing. Not to mention the 9/11 report has many inconsistencies, inaccuracies and things that are just plain absurd.

So I decided to make this post to see if anyone else out there has daydreamed like me today. I daydreamed that, just like the MLB steriod issue, congress and federal investigators grilled tirelessly over every person involved in 9/11 (security wise and in other sectors) as well as looked for inconsistencies and nailed them for what they were.

Bush and Cheney having to meet "together", not under oath, and so forth really pisses me off... what kind of crap is this? 3,000+ people (not to mention those with cancer and other health disabilities from the breathing conditions) DIED... are gone forever... bodies dismembered and obliterated... and yet the government by the people, for the people cannot get a decent standing out of their government? Can't get them to take something seriously enough to grill every person, including the president. The president is a citizen like any other, no better, no worse.

Not sure whether this post has any value... but seeing this today just pissed me off. It's the same as watching Britney Spears when you turn on MSNBC/FOX/CNN when you know theres a war going on with people dying and other much more important issues...

Yup, I'll agree with that. I saw a few clips of Clemens' testimony, and daaaaamn did he come crashing down off his wall of lies today, lmfao! The only reason I enjoyed it was because the congressmen and senators completely fucking owned the guy!

You're right about it though, there are much more imortant things that congress could/should be doing instead of dealing with this fools roid problem.

Also right about 911. That's exactly what I would expect out of our government, what I did expect then, I thought that's what they were going to do. I think that would be the absolute best way to get to the truth, anyone can lie all they want in a written statement read by a press secretary, but it takes a pretty good liar to fool all the experts, and Bush is nowhere near that good at lying, I think if he got questioned under oath in front of congress on national tv, cspan or something, and millions of people saw his unthoughtout, unscripted, unedited statements, he would prove himself to be guilty. And like Clemens, we'd all see his ass come crashing down, and wow, would it be glorious! lol

dude must have a HUGE ego problem...maybe the roids fucked with his head... he is so damn' guilty...they dont even need all this courtroom action to prove he did that shit ...dude is still playin Pro ball at 45 yrs old! just liek BarryBonds...i dont think its a coincidence theyre both considered the greatest of all time.

I do hope that baseball gets back to normal tho...Dodgers are goin all the way next year.

JITF now you have me wondering...that's fucked up

they dont hold anyone accountable for their actions, and many of them are indicted over crimes themselves. Congress cares more about Baseball than terrorism probably anyways... They can benefit off of the tradegies with funding etc. Also most are educated on what they should be talking about if they want to keep their "seat".

Congress is full of politicians.

Politicians like to grandstand, and get media attention. This is a platform for them to do it on.
