American/Canadian Army Merger
Source: The Catholic Knight: American-Canadian Army Merger
We're still crazy right? right...?
I mean, if everyone in the media and goverment tells us that the NAU is a kook conspiracy theory... then why do things continually add up to the contrary?
sure, its always for the "better good". Yea. If you seriously trust your government that much to have good intentions with things they do behind your backs... then do me a favor. go jump off a bridge. a very tell bridge.

Wonder what RW has to say about this...
It's obviously real, there's no question about that anymore, if you think it's not real, your probably choosing not to accept the facts.
So we're occupying over 130 countries worldwide to protect our freedoms and way of life, and to spread democracy, but keeping wide open borders from Canada to Mexico? That makes sense how now? What if a terrorist wanted to get in through the northern part of Canada, I mean, how well do they have the entire border guarded? It's all a bunch if islands, it couldn't be that well protected...

I am completely shocked by this.....
Canada has an army? Since when?
On a serious note though. I don't see how this is a "merger" of any kind, or what kind of significance you think it has, and I'd like to see a few other links that goes deeper into it. I looked for some, but couldn't find that much info on it. A lot of blogs, and whatnot.

Yes, as was said, there hasn't been much coverage on this... which is why you won't find out much, at least in mainstream news sources.
...and again. The thing i believe you don't understand, is that the "North American Union", etc etc isn't going to happen all at once, and isn't going to happen by the government coming out and saying that we no longer have any national sovereignty. It's slowly but surely been happening.
From mexican trucks being actually allowed to drive up into the U.S. through California, to the huge roadways that are being built in Texas (and the eminent domain taking everyones houses), to Vicente Fox talking on Larry King Live about several issues regarding this, to the total blackout of news stations, CNN denying anything about a NAU yet Lou Dobbs... someone on their own network, has covered this topic and been incredibly outraged? it goes on and on...
Even if this was nothing, I don't want any outside troops in a "state of emergency" pushing me around telling me what to do.
It was ridiculous enough when people had their own guns taken away during Katrina by their own army... what a joke.

The very idea of even setting this precedent, that we might invite a foreign army into our nation, is very horrifying.
Furthermore, it seems to point to an administration that sees some reason to prepare against such a civil emergency and feels it doesn't necessarily have the power to do so when it comes around. With all the forces we have overseas, our military could certainly be stretched to deal with any large scale emergencies here at home, whatever they may be.
Merger is a stretch, but this isn't the sort of thing I like to hear about. We send our troops out across the globe (over 130 nations) and then have to make agreements to allow other nations' armies to protect us. Something seems wrong there...

I am talking about a few news sources, from actual news outlets. Not blogs and whatnot. If/when you get a link, since you guys will probably be following the story, I'm sure you'd be cool with putting it up here right?

I still am not 100% sure what the North American Union, is supposed to be.

Would you be ok with any troops pushing you around and telling you what to do?

I think it has significance when they don't mainstream it to us. If there were debates and reasons all over the news I would think they were being honest.
But I do agree that I don't remember Canada having an army, but I'd have to look it up somewhere.
Edit: Apparently, they do.
Their website: The Canadian Army Website
Wiki info: Canadian Forces - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
And it wasn't just recently, it says on wiki they were termed the Canadian Army in 1940. I guess since they don't get in everyone's business they aren't as well known.
