Basically, our dollar may no longer be the standard by which other economies are measured. As has already been mentioned numerous times on this forum, the Euro looks to be the next sound monetary investment choice.

And yet my mother, who is currently in England, has not even looked into how to open an overseas account. Instead she and our relative (I need a different noun to refer to him by, as I am positive that he and my mother are much closer than just friends, and he's not so closely related that I can call him "the inbred" (we're removed by about six or seven generations I think)) are hanging out in England while he straightens out his affairs to transfer his money to Canada and Canadian dollars.
