Is it wrong to generalize people of religion?

Alrighty. Christian receives atheist heart does he/she go to hell? That was kind of just stupid in my opinion. As for generalizing, well everyone generalizes and a little bit of generalization is ok, but like I posted in another thread just in different words, not all christians are the same. *shrugs* Call it just plain dumb of me but just because you follow a particular religion doesn't mean that you are the same as the next guy. That would be like me saying that since atheists don't believe in any form of god that they couldn't possibly believe in anything, even themselves. As for targeting and fear based religion, I have talked to a lot of christians and yea some of them have that way of talking that you can tell that they were suckered in out of fear, but not all of them are that way. Christianity isn't all fear based but it is all Conformation Bias. You are only going to see what will prove you right. <.< >.> Well maybe you aren't, maybe no one is, except that guy praying to the spaghetti monster. Who knows...we sure don't. Saying just because you can't see it or pin point it doesn't make it real. Well my friends just because they couldn't see the full extent of our lovely planet they assumed the world was flat. Because they couldn't prove the existence of air and wind they believed the trees were possessed by spirits. Yea sure we have proven that the world is round and that it is air and wind that moves the trees, but how long did it take? Maybe one day facts will come along to prove or completely and utterly disprove any and all religions. Until that day you just don't know.

You are right.
Not everything is all the same.
It is just like the stupid stereotypes in school. Not all of the 'goth' kids are stoners. Not all of the 'preppy' kids are as 'good' as their appearance.
No two Christians think the same. No two Athiests think the same.
Either way, I really do not see how people can believe that some man/woman/thing created the universe and everything in it.
I do not see how the Big Bang theory was possible either.
Also, I do not get how Christians (or anyone else who believes in God) follow it knowing that there is living proof that dinosaurs exist.

Either way, no two people think alike unless they are brainwashed.

Thank you for the agreement SARS. I definitely agree that stereotyping is stupid, and generalizing a person by who they associate with is stupidity. I have hung out with a lot of stoners and drug addicts in my life. I don't do drugs or even smoke cigarettes, I drink on occasion but that is it. As for those who follow religion knowing there is proof of dinosaurs, well Christianity did use to make a big stink about that whole situation but there is actually no where in the bible that says there were no dinosaurs. And since Animals came before man it is perfectly possible that this includes dinosaurs. It doesn't mention god wiping them out or anything but the bible is only supposed to pertain to the creation and existence of man and the influence that god has on mans existence. *shrugs* All interpretation.
