you know...I don't think I've ever seen a christian that didn't squirm when you mentioned that the bible was first translated, and then repeatedly editted. Repeatedly...by several different people who had a hell of a lot of stake in this little fun governmental philosophy called "divine right"

Looking through history, the Bible has become the most popular religious book not because of any apparent agenda, but rather from a series of events that are way more founded in political issues than anything else. There's a term for seeing patterns in otherwise unrelated things... I can't remember what it's called, but I'll get back to you as soon as I finish having cybersex with my straight friend on MSN... Really, he's that good, it's distracting...
