An example of why diehard Christians should stick to their Bible

Ristaron is offline
YouTube - Broadcast Yourself.

This guy, "VenomFangX" is a classic example of the ignorant Christian trying to disprove something he doesn't understand. I'll provide a video example:

Argument #1: If you believe you came from a monkey, that's how you will act.
I'll try to say this with as much composure as can be given for how many times I've had to say it... *ahem*
HUMANS DID NOT COME FROM MONKEYS, WE CAME FROM EARLIER LIFE FORMS THAT FISSIONED INTO DIFFERENT SPECIES FROM WHICH ALL THE DIFFERENT ORDERS OF PRIMATES DESCENDED. READ A FUCKING SCIENCE MANUAL!

Argument #2: People reject the idea of God because in their rebellious ways they believe they should not be held accountable for their actions and therefore act like monkeys because they believe that's where they came from.
Hoping I don't need to repeat my above statement, I'll continue by explaining that I believe everyone should be held accountable for their actions, and that I reject the idea of God because it's a delusional fantasy conjured by old conservative men in the Bronze Age to explain things science has re-explained a million times better.

Argument #3: Evolution is satanism.
Go die in a hole. You clearly have no concept of anything beyond your narrow beliefs and thus brand them all as products of an evil entity whose only goal throughout eternity is to turn you away from the truth.

Argument #4: Bananas are living creatures.
You are a tool. And a dull one at that.

Argument #5: Evolution [which is a lie] is backed up with [likewise] lies.
And here I thought Evolution was a key process of Intelligent Design. Turning on your own, now?

Argument #6: Leg bones are integral to underwater mammals having sex.
I can hear your biology teacher tearing out his hair.

Argument #7: Pictures of cutlery are the same thing as representations of earlier forms of life.
Ignoring for the minute that sporks are an example of an evolution of technology, I must again voice that inatimate objects are not affected by the mechanisms that cause evolution among living species. Why? Because they're not alive!

Argument #8: Blind chance resulted in a seeing eye.
Things don't evolve into a functioning form 'by accident'. They evolve in such a fashion because the surrounding environment requires such adaptations. I'll give you an example of how sight might have developed:
You don't have to touch an object in order to feel it's hot, you can hold your hand over it and feel the heat emmanating. This is because it's releasing infrared radiation, which is just lower on the bandwidth scale than the visible light spectrum. Your eyes developed for the function of sensing visible light. It just so happens that it was beneficial to most life for that to happen, as it allowed for more opportunity. There are life forms on the bottom of the ocean that don't have eyes, they don't need them. There is no light down there.

Argument #9: If you are a slave to biology, you can't trust your thoughts.
Your thoughts emerge from consciousness, which is an emergent property. All the human brain combined cannot explain why you have consciousness, it is an emergent property. Yes, it is connected to your physical body, but the thinking mechanism is the only thing that your body controls, not the decision making process, or the process that is leading me to the conclusion that you are entirely without a clue.
Not to mention that it would seem logical to me, anyways, that if you burn yourself on something a number of times, you can trust your thoughts to determine that it's not something you want to keep touching.

Argument #10: Man came by death.
Even as preposterous, illogical, and absurd as it is, I like it better than "we die because we don't believe in God and do things like go to the bathroom and shave, which are sins according to leviticus".

Argument #11: The appearance of skeletons of tall people disproves evolution.
Again, you don't know what evolution is. There is a huge reliance on nature as a process of evolution, hence 'Natural Selection'. People of different areas evolved to different heights because of environmental factors. Look at China, where most of the diet used to be rice. People were shorter, because its a fast digesting food that doesn't provide huge amounts of nutrition. Meanwhile, nowadays, you have red meat rich in protein, innumerable vegetables with assorted vitamins... and the Chinese people are growing to a size that other people of similar diet are averaging.
And, likewise, you have some anomalies within the population (Yao Ming?)

Argument #12: We do not live like animals. Thus evolution is wrong.
Um... we eat, breathe, sleep, and defecate... I'd say we live like animals.
And... by the way... standards are relative.

Argument #13: Evolution is a lie from Satan. It is a perversion of the truth, twisted directly backwards.
Your beliefs are backwards of the truth, you narcissistic halfwit. Get your head out of your bible and read a science textbook without repeating constantly "God is truth, Jesus is my homeboy", and maybe you'll learn how twisted your beliefs are.

Argument #14: The appearance of skeletons of tall people disproves evolution.
Wait... didn't we cover this already? See argument 11, you cheating douchebag.

Argument #15: The media has been corrupted by Satan.
Next you're going to pull a Bush and declare a war on Terror when there's really a material source for the evildoing. (In this case, the government, not your monstrous archnemesis who resides in some raging inferno beneath the earth).
By the way, you lost ALL credibility with this one...

Argument #16: The White House is at the bottom of a giant Sigil of Baphomet.
While I don't know what this has to do with Evolution, I'll also bring up that many of the presidents over the years have been associated with the Skull and Bones organization. Let me just post their emblem.

Look familliar?

By your logic, Bush is a pirate as well as a Satan-worshipper... nevermind that Satanists don't worship Satan anyways... but of course, you don't know that because you're still convinced that everything outside your pocket Bible is possessed by the devil.

Congratulations, you've made more of a mockery of your faith.

That shiteating grin at the beginning really spoke for whatever he was going to say. That alone made me not like this man.

But his stupidity helps too.

I hate the way this guy is so sure of himself, like if you were to start up an argument with him about eveolution and God, he'd be one of those guys who act like this:

-'well, OK, what about carbon dating, I mean, that's a proven technology developed by mankind that allows us to date things back thousands of years...'
-'No, God created everything in 6 days, period. Evolution doesn't exist'
-'...that's your argument?'

rofl, I can't stand people like this. Right around the 5 minute mark I couldn't take it anymore, what is he thinking saying 'if you believe you came from something without any intelligent design, then you can't trust your thoughts'

rofl, that guy should ditch the special Thursday night sermon and go watch the discovery channel or something...

His left eye kept twitching along with his eyebrows... and I was more interested in the cat walking in front of his bedroom door than in what he had to say because this kid is utterly ridiculous. He's making false assumptions and he's judging and accusing "satan-worshippers". He sounds exactly like my entire family, I wanted to slap him every time he grinned.

how do religious fanatical people explain dinosaurs? doesn't it say in the bible that God created man...then how did the dinosaurs get here if it says nothing in the bible about them, yet we have they're bones in tons of museums, and God didn't create them?

isn't that proof that complicated living organisms can be created through nature and evolution? (I'm sure it's just a big coincidence they had exactly the same organ structure as humans though...::sarcasm:: )

My great uncle, a Lutheran pastor, will say that it's because there used to be more oxygen in the air, and since lizards never stop growing and therefore would live longer with more oxygen, they grew to a huge size.
The problem with that is, the carboniferous period (when there was 30% more oxygen in the atmosphere) was still millions of years ago, which is much beyond the 6,000 year old earth presented by the Bible.

Rist, when you argue it would sound better if you didn't repeatedly insult the person with the opposing viewpoint and actually presented some evidence for your viewpoint instead of side stepping it....for example rebuttal #13
