I am, by definition according to its teachings, a Roman Catholic.

I've obtained 5 out of the possible 7 Sacraments (all but matrimony and holy orders).

HOWEVER, I do not believe in God myself.
I believe that he is there for those that want to believe in him.
In other words, He MAY exist... I JUST DON'T CARE!

... and i am currently grounded @ my house for this belief.
does this make sense?

I don't know...it seems like you kind of believe in him to me...but you're not one of those people who's going to ridicule others for believing in God...but regardless, your family shouldn't punish you for how you believe...because, they should realize that you can't force reiligon on someone, that you have to accept it.

Ah, i don't think he exists. lol I didn't want to say that in case i offended too many people. I do respect others for their beliefs.

my family is ... a different aspect in the tapestry of humanity... lol

anyway, what do you think would i be 'religiously labeled' then? a non-believing roman catholic?

This place for open opinions, if you don't think He exists, that's fine...as long as you don't flame someone who does believe, then no one's going to bitch at you for not believing...appearently, you get enough of that at home.

Well, if you're a non-believer, then why the hell are you going to throw Roman-Catholic on the end? That's just going to make people say stuff like "Oh, so you got out when all the priests were taking the guys and left you without a boyfriend, huh?"

wow, that is an insane amount of bullshit right there my friend. Just because you don't believe in the fairy tale version of the bible and it's teachings, they ground you?! Holy shit, if that was me, I'd totally pretend like I wasn't grounded, just do everything I would normally do. That's a TOTALLY unjustified punishment, grounding you for no reason at all would be exactly the same.

How old are you, are your parents insanely religious, do they attend services every week?

This is one of the main problems I have with religion, how people try to force their beliefs on you, and if you don't accept them, you're automatically wrong and are in DESPERATE need to be saved and cleansed...fucking bullshit, fuck those idiot religious fanatics.

So yeah, you're actually not grounded, do whatever the fuck you want.

well. I'm 16. Erm, my parents have me work at the church (i'm an 'usher,' 'altar server', uhh... confirmation leader... i work a lot in the youth ministry, etc... yeah, we attend services every sunday.. um... don't eat the Eucharist when we miss a mass... go to confession when we do that... go to mass on "Holy Days of Obligation"... and stuff like that.

lol, 'cuz i am sick of ppl telling me that i'm a hyprocrite. XD but that's all i will be. b/c that's how i am, literally. at least for 2 more years (then i move out of house and out of church).

Remember, I don't have full knowledge of the Roman-Catholic church, so such rituals kind of go over my head...

...Anyways, seeing how that you were forced by your parents to do that, I guess it'd be understandable, but from now on, if I was you, I'd just tell people I was atheis if they ask for your reiligon...if you're forced into something, I don't really see how that can make you a hypocrite.
