So this is something that happened to me tonight at work. I work at a Taco Bell...and well I am normally in drive thru...so tonight these two kids come through...I want to say they are going from their sophomore year into junior year of high school...they order something like 4 cheesy gordita crunch (yes I know, the fact that I remember their order is kinda weird...I am good at what I do...what can I say?) and two small drinks...however they cannot afford the two small drinks, so they ask for one medium drink...and the last comment they make before driving away from the speaker is,
"Can we get two straws because we're not gay."
needless to say I was not very happy..I most deffinently have shared drinks with straight guy friends and it has not made them any more gay than...well we'll say Arnold Schwarzenegger...whom is very straight.
so they get up to the window and ask for two straws again, and once again add in it is because they are not gay. After the window closes my coworker turns to me and says,
"You should tell them you're gay. I'd totally give you a dollar if you did!"
so I say, "Ok I guess" not that the dollar had much of a sway on me, because I wanted to know what these pompous kids reactions would be as much or more so than my coworker. I was kinda irrate and tempted to deny them service for it...but I did not ( I could have and my GM would have completely backed me on it)
So I hand them their food, their drink, and their two straws...and say to them as the driver takes the straws,
"And I would just like to mention I am gay."
their automatic response, "No you're not!!!" and they got BRIGHT red in the face. "Dude you are not gay! Are you really? You're lying!"
Then the driver says, "What if I am gay? I can sue Taco Bell for harrassment." my
reply was, "If anyone was harrassing anyone who do you think is doing the harrassing tonight?"
They continued to try and say I was not gay for about two minutes..and even my coworker got into the conversation and I had to ask my coworker if he had ever seen my boyfriend...of course he said yes, because my bf does come in...so they say sorry...and see you later (now these two kids come in every once and a while and this was not the first time I had served them) So a few more customers come and go...
I get done serving the last customer for that rush and my coworker says, "their back" and during the whole time they had not been in the store I was venting, and kinda pacing because it really bothered me...not only did they insult me because of the gay thing, but they just about argued with me about it...insinuating I was lying (and I hate it when people call me a liar because I am far from one) so I say something like,
"What? Are they?" Loud enough for these kids to hear out in lobby...yes, they did not just come back, but they came into lobby to talk to me instead of back through drive thru.
"Dude are you really gay? You didn't spit in our food did you?" (yes they did use dude as many times and prolly more than I have put in this explanation)
So I said, "If I was that bothered by it that I would have spit in your food I would have just withheld service from you guys." I was mad, but I was not that mad... I still respect people, even when they are...well in no position to deserve that respect.
and they just had this incredulous expression on their faces...kept asking questions...so finally I said,
"if you do not believe me, even though you may not want to see them, I do have pictures on my phone to prove it." HAHA not that I couldn't get into trouble showing minors material of that particular content...I would not have really showed them something naughty...it would have been a pic of me and my bf lying in bed or something...hehe I snuck a pick while my bf slept and it is sooo cute! Anyway...
So I have to go back to attent other customers that started coming through, and they ask the guy who was on lobby counter when I was away, "Is he really gay?"
My new coworker just shrugged because he is new..this was my first day working with him, and we did not talk at all...by the way, he is also gay...and he did not know I was gay until this event. So they make a rude comment to him that he and I must be boyfriends or something...and i dont know...he seemed nervous around me after I came out to him and these two upstarts so I did not get the full story of what they said to him.
SOOOOO lesson to all...unless you do not want to become embarrassed and feel like you need to apologize for something that should have never been said...I suggest you hold your tongues

. LOL not that I have found any problems with people on BeastToast.
And that is the jist of it...It will be alil bit ackward I think the next time I see them..if they did not embarrass themselves enough to want to stay away from taco bell...idk it will be interesting seeing them again.
