I liked mine, but my room mate was a bitch...the room mate I had at Christmas for a week was AWESOME though. =P

Oh, I've always wanted my own apartment and I may get my own within the next two years but sadly I'm concerned it may be a HUD housing unit instead of a regular apartment.

Room mates fucked it up for me. It's always awesome at first but then it goes to hell, so I recommend no room mates. A boyfriend or girlfriend is cool but no room mates....no matter how close you are to them or how cool they are, trust me. Haha.

I had some crappy roommates my first year of college and one of the reasons I didn't return to that university. I was in a tiny freshmen dorm with no a/c and I went through 2 roommates moving out on me the first week for no apparent reason and a 3rd one that started out good before she moved in and was a walking hell. Lots of fighting and taking over too much space, she was spoiled, bipolar with no treatments, and a fundamental Christian. The fights were so bad in the middle of the night that we would wake up the whole floor!!!! So it really sucked. And I tried so hard to move out and didn't know why there was no room for me to move out just 2 or 3 months in the year. But anyway she finally moved out and I was alone for a month or two which was kind of nice but depressing since I really did want a roommate and 4th roommate was the best one but still not without the issues, she was really weird about me changing clothes in the room, I understand looking away when someone changes but to tell someone where they can and can't change in a small cramped room is nuts. Some people said she couldn't stand people to be in the bathroom while she was showering but the weird thing is one time she was gushing about skinny dipping to someone on the phone. And she did this in front of her soroity friends but she couldn't take me or her changing in front of each other?

She was kind of a goody two shoes but still very weird.

Also one of the reasons why I'm thinking about getting my own 1-bedroom or studio apartment near the campus if I go off to VA Tech or some other 4 year university. I've entertained the idea of living on campus with roommates but I'm still a bit on edge about it.

I'm still in my first apartment, it's in the ghetto really close to my university. I haven't been mugged on my way home yet.

The building itself is ancient, built around 1915. My apartment has white walls, hardwood floors, and six-foot windows. Any character this place has is character that I brought in with me.

I also made an ass-print on the wall, visible only when the sunlight hits it just right. That way when I leave, the next tenants won't see it until long after they've moved in, like it took me to see all the hand prints the previous tenants left behind.

Hah. You seriously put some work into that, huh?

All of the apartments [along with the first house] that I have been in were nice. They were worth the money and the two I had in Walden Run were not expensive at all. The only thing that ruined everything was room mates.

Daniel and I got a house together last summer and we did GREAT until Jay and Lauren moved in...that caused Daniel and I to hate each other on top of everything else, cost more then before and yadda yadda. We had to put up with their bullshit drama and dumb ass friends too.

Lol. That visit was awesome until the end. Kris ruins everything, that bastard.

My first house is amazing! I love it. I've been living here since April and it is fantastic. ^^

Of course I'm talking about when you were there. That was the best time ever...until the last day...anyway, if I move to Savannah, you're totally going to have to come see that apartment.
