Changes in the next few day on BT. - Page 3

Ok here's a heads up for everyone.
Currently the Mod Team is working on a few changes. They will take place to hopefully improve BT and bring it up from the ashes.

Update:

Girl,Synith and I are now Admins.
We are working on the merging of forums.
I Have made Opu a super mod seeing how he is always on in the A.M. hours.
I have changed the color of the super mods to Purple
I have added a strick out and color change to the banned users.
I have added a 3 infractions with in 30 days will lead to a temp ban for a week.(this can be changed or added as a point system)
I'm trying to figure out how to make the mods mod everything but at the moment I am missing powers in the Admin CP. (I sent a message to chad to see if he can fix.)

To do:

Forum merging.{DONE}
Fixing Mod rights(so they may mod all sections){DONE}

Creating Admin, and Super Moderator/Moderator Guidelines.{DONE}
V bulletin update.{WAITING ON CHAD}

There will be no more Marriage theards you may still marry and put it in your signatures.

The Adopt a nood rules have changed from 10 post to be adopted to 50 post, and from 400 post to adopt to 1,500 post to adopt a noob.

The Arts: The whole Creativity section, with a subsection for Art and a Subsection for Literature (Art and Poetry & Literature,General [Creativity], and Roleplaying [make this a sub-subsection of Literature) {Done}

Technology: Automotive, Technology {Done}

Sports: self-explanatory {Done}

Entertainment and Recreation: TV & Movies, Games, Comedy {Done}

Food, Fashion, and Fitness: Food and Life & Living {Done}

{Done}The General [main] and Gibberish sections should be merged.

The religion section needs to get everything except Atheism, Christianity, and Paganism (and perhaps New Age) rolled into Other. 'Ethics' and 'Existentialism' should be rolled into Philosophy. This is because they are simply not active enough to warrant an entire sub-section devoted to them.

Rules 2.0 is up and posted.
The Admin/Moderator guide lines will be posted for all to see as soon as the rest of the Mods review them.

Synith is still working on the merging seeing how Girl and I cannot do it due to lack of Admin rights...I sent Chad a shit load of PM's and IM's *sigh*

Noob ownership has worked for many forums, so I don't see how it wouldn't work for ours.

The marriage threads only last a few hours anyway and are closed, I don't see why you guys can't just do it in the chat. Someone brought that opinion up in our discussion, so that way it is real time.

I like the idea of them being in chat, it'd give them something to do in there, especially sicne everytime I've gone in there, it's boring.

Yea, that is one of our main problems. We have all of these other features that we can use but other people don't want to result in using them due to [in my opinion] lack of attention and/or post count.

Using the chat is the best way to get married if you want to. I am pretty sure everyone on BT is married but me anyway, so I don't see what the big deal is. Most people's 'marriages' have already happened and are done with so I don't see why anyone is still complaining.

Either way, it doesn't matter. Use the chat.

Think about it. right after the wedding is the recption, whatever. That can go on in either the JAVA applet or the IRC, whichever is more convenient, instead of being there pressing the F5 key constantly to see who else posted in the thread and then having that thread lay around after it's all said and done.

The Chat should also replace TAN, that way people can rant about whatever pointless things they're talking about while still posting coherently on BT....has this already been said?

Well that is what we use to do. We would talk in chat and post on BT if we still wanted to. It's not that hard.

That is what I am trying to beat into everyone's head. We flourished without TAA, TAN and the Waaah section before so I don't see why it will be so fucking hard to get rid of those things. The main reason why I stopped posting is because the marriage threads were dumb, no one barely even participated in the good topics and they only talked in the TAN or played the word games in Gibberish.

If any of them 'tried' to participate in the good topics [except for a select few] they would drag it way off topic or just waste everyone's time by saying, "Yea, I agree" and leaving it at that.

Hopefully this will drive those to actually want to participate, discuss and learn things like we use to and if they can't then they can leave. I honestly don't care.
