Admin/Mod Team Guidelines.
1.0 ADMINISTRATOR GUIDELINES AND DUTIES:- 1.1 The role of our administration is to ensure the enforcement of this policy and to make decisions for the board. Administrator decisions, as a group, are final.
- 1.2 Prior to implementing a decision that effects the board as a whole, the administrators will give the other super moderators and moderators time to provide input. Suggested time is at least 48 hours. If the administrator feels the decision needs to be implemented immediately, then the administrator will carry it out immediately and will post the reasoning for doing so.
- 1.3 The administrator handling a decision makes the decision. The administrator handling a case of a user being banned will gather input from other administrators, super moderators and moderators before reaching a decision.
- 1.4 In the event that an administrator's impartiality is compromised, that administrator may no longer make the decision. Should the remaining administrators be unable to come to an agreement, the decision is to be expanded to include the super moderators.
- 1.5 Any administrator's decision may be over-ruled if 2/3 of the administrators oppose it.
- 1.6 If an administrator violates guidelines, the decision enacted by the administrator must be reversed immediately. The other administrators will determine whether guidelines have been violated. The offending administrator may then present a case to have the decision implemented again.
- 1.7 Administrators will launch a formal inquiry including all super moderators and moderators when a member has been permanently banned. Following the conclusion of the inquiry, the discussion will be released to the forum body where an appeal can be made should the decision be found in contest with the majority of the forum body.
- 1.8 Administrators alone reserve the right to dispense permanent bans (permabans).
2.0 SUPER MODERATOR GUIDELINES AND DUTIES:- 2.1 Super moderators are responsible for keeping the forums neat and tidy, resolving any issues between all members, and also helping to keep the community going strong.
- 2.2 Super moderators are overseers, the second highest authorities on the forums.
- 2.3 They also administrate the entire forums with the exception that they can not access the Administration Control Panel.
- 2.4 Super moderators are the only group other than administrators who are able to ban according to their discretion.
- 2.45 Super moderators may only dispense temporary bans (tempbans).
- 2.5 Super moderatorss will assist moderators with any clean up and up keep of the forums, they will also keep tabs on the moderators to ensure they are doing their job.
- 2.6 Problems with a super moderator should first be discussed via the Private Message system. Unresolvable conflicts between a super moderator and a member will become the purview of the Admins.
3.0 MODERATOR GUIDELINES AND DUTIES:- 3.1 The primary responsibility of a moderator is to enforce the guidelines, make needed corrections based on guidelines, and send PM's to users who abuse the guidelines. They also post their actions in a moderator forum.
- 3.2 The administrators and moderators of this forum have the right to edit, move, or remove any post or topic at any time should they see fit.
- 3.3 A member found violating the guidelines will receive and explanation and if necessary, a warning. If said member ignores the warning or does not accept the warning, the member's account may be suspended pending review by an administrator.
- 3.4 Any issues with users should first be pursued through the Private Message system (PM). If a PM is sent to a user and the user responds back in any fashion other than accepting the PM, the moderator will post it in the moderator forum and a super moderator or administrator will intercede. The only response that a moderator should make is to state that the case is being turned over to a higher authority body. Moderators may continue to offer opinions through the Moderator Forum.
- 3.5 In the event of a dispute with a moderator that you feel is not being resolved fairly, please send a personal message (PM) to any of the super moderators or forum administrators. Personal messages may be shared with other moderators and administrators.
- 3.6 Moderators will offer opinions on actions being implemented by administrators. Moderators may also suggest changes and gather input from other moderators.
- 3.7 Moderators may manage their own duties and Moderator Forum as a group. This includes adding/removing new moderators. For the purpose of participation parameters, all administrators and super moderators are also considered moderators for votes regarding new moderators, management of large-scale changes and operations within the forum, and other decisions with the potential to affect the forum as a whole.
- 3.75 Such votes are held according to the democratic process, and their results made public to the forum body.
