So a lot of us are in long distance relationships, so this question is going to be simple: how do you keep it all fresh? Me and my current girlfriend are in a long distance relationship, and I feel like its starting to get stale. Don't get me wrong, I really care for her and I want this to work out. And just like any other relationship, there are other problems too. But I think the major problem we are having is keeping things fresh when the majority of our time is spent over the phone. We talk everyday, and as you all know, things are bound to get stale when you talk to someone everyday. It also doesn't help that the only time we do get to talk, I'm extremely beat from a long ass day at work.

So for those who are in a long distance relationship, how do you keep things fresh?

How often do you talk to your partner on the phone?

Any other tips?

I haven't talked to my sweetie for almost a week, but then again...I haven't paid my phone bill yet ;-;


Well, hmmm...to keep it fresh and interesting...I don't know...if you really love the girl, then it will always be fresh and interesting...and when you're together, just never stop having fun together. On the phone, don't just talk about what you did that day, but just talk about her, yourself or just make nonsensical words and gibberish...don't concentrate so much on trying to always be interesting and fun, but just enjoy yourself.


...does any of that make sense? I need to think more before I write...

I had a relationship with a girl from a few towns over, not really long distance as we could pretty much see eachother whenever one of us felt like driving a half hour, but I found that to be really cool. Seeing your significant other every single day gets sort of old, keeping it at 2 or 3 times a week makes those moments sort of special, sounds corny, but it's true. And plus, if you wait a couple of days before you speak to eachother, you both have more to talk about.

So I would suggest maybe speaking on the phone every other day, and seeing eachother 2 or 3 times a week, that should keep it interesting.

I'm presently in a relationship with a woman 1 state over from me, in New Jersey. We don't get to see each other as much as we'd like to, and sometimes we do hit some rough patches in the relationship but, I would say that as corny as this may sound, just going with it, and enjoying the time that you have with each other.
