So he asked you out, then when you went to check his ID, you saw a picture of him and some other chick, then when you asked him about it, he said that's him and his girlfriend?

So did he only start talking because he knew you saw the picture first, or did he show you the pic and start talking about it before you even saw it? If you saw it first, he probably planned on keeping her a secret, but you snagged him.

Obviously this guy is a douche, it's only 10 days later anyway, so no big deal, drop the scumbag and play the field.

Another thing, I hate it when chicks think for some reason the HAVE to be involved with someone, or else their world will end or some stupid shit, not that you're like that, just sort of the impression I got from reading the end of this..."I guess I'll never find the right guy"...dude, you're 18, you shouldn't even be looking for the right guy right now...

Are you sure he didn't just ask you out to just hang out? Why do guys ALWAYS have to be asking a girl on a date? Can't it just be to have fun as friends? Did you do something like sleep with him?

Well I disagree with you there static. I can't see any reason why you can't find your future mate at the age of 18. Yes the likelihood depends on where your life is headed and such, but I think that at 18 you are mature enough to start a legitimate serious relationship. However, I do agree with you that saying just because one guy is a douche, you won't find a guy ever is just stupid. Obviously one guy is not all of mankind, so there are many more guys out there, some of whom are legit and single. So yeah, don't give up on men, you'll miss us a lot.

Age is not an indicator of maturity.

I just think that at 18, the average person has had maybe 2-4 serious relationships in their entire life, I don't think that's enough experience to judge weather or not the next person in line is marriage material. People these days think getting married is just the next thing to do, and not an entirely committed act of love and respect for eachother. Not to mention the statistics... Not saying somebody who gets married that young won't succeed, just that at that age, your opinions are very likely to change. I know I'm not even going to think about getting married to someone without having known them atleast 2 or 3 years, and having lived together for atleast half that time, but that's just me.

Stop using broad generalizations that have no substance! GRRR!! AGE IS NOT AN INDICATOR OF MATURITY! Nor is it an indicator of the number of relationships a person has had. The mother of a friend of mine got married at 16 and she is just fine. She just has a thing for older men . And besides... Who said anything about marriage anyway?

True, this isn't about marriage, this is about what this girl should think about the guy taking her out and then saying he has a girlfriend already. It'd help if she got on to give us more info.
