I recently reapplied to college because I realized that if I plan on doing anything with my life I am going to need to go back to school. I'm worried though because I am not sure If I'll be able to do it. Between working full time so that i can maintain rent, then plus i have other responsibilities and I'm not sure Ill be able to fit school in. I feel overwhelmed and I'm not quite sure what decision i should make. If anyone has any advice I'd really appreciate it. Thanks
Well, one thing...you're going to have to cut back on something. If you can't cut back on work, then it's going to be having fun. Two, don't bite off more than you can chew. Take one or two classes to begin with, slowly reintegrating yourself in the system. That's all I have for right now.

I think that it would be a good idea to try and take classes around your work schedul.e Try and find a school around your area that allows for flexible schedules so that you can maintain your full time position. I'm not going to lie to you, this isn't going to be just a walk through Central Park and it is going to take some time to get used to but, it will all line up with time, of coursel, iike Opu said, cutting back on having fun will be one of those sacrifices that one just has to take.
I know what you're going through because I am trying to get myself back into college with a full time job, bills and what not, myself.

Anyway you could work a lot before school starts and then cut back your hours during school, bump them back up inbetween semsters?
What I'm doing, though I work part time, is taking classes T/Th and working the other days. Or you can work 9-5 and take night classes. I would suggest maybe the night classes, and having classes every other day so you have an evening for homework inbetween.
Also I found a near 40 hour week possible to maintain at the beginning of classes but about half way through not so much. Good luck, what are you looking to major in?

I'm in the same boat with you are dude, I plan on applying for a student loan and looking into grants and scholarships first, I don't want to spend 5 or 6 years on a 4 year degree, I'd rather just go to school fulltime and get it all overwith as quick as possible, doing it this way you may not even have to work. You could just be a fulltime student, even with all the bills. That would be my advice, that's what I plan on doing. Good luck!

First off, prioritize everything in your life. Then, look at the things that are lowest on your list of priorities and consume the most amount of time. As others said, start off with just a few classes and work them around ur schedule. No, it's not going to be easy. Yes, you will probably get stressed out. If it is something you really want to do, though, you will be able to figure it out. The old addage "Where there is a will, there is a way" rings as true now as it ever did.

Thank you to everyone for the great advice. I'm looking to major in History as it is something I love and i want to teach one day. I'm hoping I don't overwork myself but i am taking all the extra hours I can get at work now so that i can save up money. And Loans are looking like a bitch but are really my only option.
