why do i feel like this ab an ex?

so me and my bf broke up a few weeks ago, and i thought ive been doing pretty well with it. in fact ive started sorted talking to another guy whos really into me, more than i am into him though. however, hes freinds with my new ex and they live in the same area (i live ab an hour and a half away for the summer) and they are do stuff occassionally. well, when i talk to the guy who interested in me he mentions sometimes hes going to have drinks with my ex but doesnt call him that of course. it doesnt bother me, or hasnt until now. sometimes he talks ab my ex so casually, it mkaes me miss him and i dont want to do that. why is it such a problem for me to picture my ex doing things and getting over me as i guess he is. i mean, i am getting over him, but are these feelings normal? do they get easier? what happens when i have to see him again? it makes me sad to think hes doing things-but of course he is, i mean, im just not a part of them, and thats what makes me sad i guess.

It gets easier, I had a mutual breakup about a month ago, I know how you feel. But for a lot of people it's just because they got used to having their ex around, and then when they cut off contact with them it's such a sudden change it takes a while to adjust. Just stick with what you know, if you really are over him like you say you are, then you'll realize there are no feelings left to have for him.

It could actually be a number of things though, there are so many reasons why you may think you're still into him. The only advice I really have is figure out how you really feel, do some kinda soul searching, and give it time. Good luck to you, babes. I hope it turns out ok in the end.

normal, definently. You're not the only one buddy, I've been broken up with this chick for a good 2 years now, and there's still 'something' there... It's not like an emense feeling of love or lust or anything like that...but it's definently something... it does get a lot easier with time, trust me.

I'm agreeing with these people. Yes at first its hard to imagine you or your ex with someone else but an Ex is an Ex for a reason. It takes time but you'll get over him and it wont be so hard as time goes by.

my advice to get over it is remember why you broke up in the first place, and try to find a way to prove it to yourself that it wasn't real. it makes it alot easier, believe me.
