inspiration?

I remember bits and peices of myself before children. I remember that my passion was painting and the ocean. So many times Iv tried to sit down and paint a picture only to realize I have lost the ability to tap into that kosmic conciousness that allows the energy to flow, and the art to come. How does one be a mom and an artist.

Think of things that make you happy! Or even just a thought that made you giggle.

Look to your biggest masterpiece. Your children! Your children are a product of you, just like your art, and don't they inspire you every day with their constant search for more knowledge? You mentioned the ocean inspired you. Gather up your kids, tell them they're going to see the water! Go pick up sea shells and play on the beach- take pictures... and when you get home maybe paint something that captures the way you felt that day.

Try to create art out of the love you have for you child/children.
The passion you had once would flow right back on..

Maybe you could pain near the ocean, of your kid playing on the sand or something.

Well, just don't think at first, just take or tool of choice in hand and let it go crazy...whether it be a person or just a bunch of squggiles, something will come to you eventually.

so, what i would do is take your children to the ocean.
get them all excited about it.
the passion and energy that flows through them when they're playin is like the same passion that you have hidden, not lost. maybe being with your family and enjoing what you love will eventually spark some of the artist in you...

I think this whole thing sounds like a painting in itself. I guess I don't really know what you're used to painting but I think that this would be a great painting that could use symbolism to portray a truth of sometimes having to put your dreams or yourself aside and make a great sacrafice, but thats just me....how old are the kids?
