I was talking this over with a couple friends, they all had different ideas, so I thought this would be a great subject to talk about.
What do you think would be the most efficient cost effective way to build/maintain/operate a permanent moon base? This includes getting materials there, using whatever resources available that are already on the moon, training crew members, maintaining safety, transportation...ect, everything.
It's too expensive to launch from earth every time, so the moon seems to be a cost effective way of defeating this problem, the only thing wrong with that is the innitial cost of developing the station, which I'm sure would be huge. But I think it's money well spent, space is the next step.
What are some of your ideas?
