There's nothing in the universe that can't be explained scientifically -- eventually. A thousand years ago we didn't know that the Earth revolved around the sun, or why it rained, and had no concept of silicon fibers. Yet, here we are, making a new technological advance every day and increasing our understanding of the universe around us.
The Onion just did a fantastic job of showing the growing threat that we'll lose this carefully gathered information and carefully constructed models from ignorant people who would sooner believe in something that has no proof (like it's an achievement or something).
Now, you can believe whatever you want, but if your beliefs aren't scientific (i.e. invoking the supernatural) then you can't impose them on a science classroom!
