As much as I hate scientology, there's no use in banning them. It would only cause more problems.
Let people get huckstered if they are dumb enough to.
It's the only way they'll learn.

Thank higher spiritual being that someone did this.
These people are fucking crazy man. I'm all about practicing whatever religion you want as long as you're not hurting anyone, these people totally brainwash their members and then make them give up their money, homes and sometimes their lives.

Brainwashing = indoctrination.
While not every individual affiliated with a religion participates in this (my mother and the pastor at the church I occasionally attend come to mind as immediate examples) all organized religions as a whole are guilty of this. Some more than others. Most ask for your money, and there are a handful that ask for things like homes, cars, etc. As far as I know, Scientology doesn't force you to do it, you have a choice. People are just stupid and make stupid choices.
I agree that what they do is wrong, but at this point if you are too stupid and/or lazy to research Scientology on your own to find out what they are about before you get involved, you deserve to get robbed for your own ignorance.
I've never even actually met a Scientologist. If I did I'd be sure to educate them.
Also, ZEN, where is that quote from?
