Demonolatry
I did some research that I found interesting about this. The reason I find it interesting is because I have seen people get all upset over theistic satanic rituals. There was something recent in the politics section about this. After my research if they were practicing this my answer is no, It does not bother me if people in power do these rituals.....period.
First of all, the Gods or "demons" are viewed as pre-Christian gods that were made to look evil over time by the church. Most do not even believe in a Christian god at all. From my understanding they are basically worshiping pagan Gods under a different name. Many Gods have different names and faces. In fact, I might experiment with this to see if one of these "demons" just turn out to be a God I already believe. It has sparked my curiosity.
They do not believe in good or evil and therefore demons are not considered "good or evil". Satan is viewed as the all. They also do not believe in heaven or hell.
Here is the site I got my best information from.
Thoughts?

It doesn't bother me any more than a Muslim stopping to pray facing Mecca every day. I just think it's a bit bizarre and potentially unhealthy to mock sacrifice human beings, whatever your particular belief system is.
I wouldn't tell them they couldn't, but I certainly wouldn't vote for the people who chose to do that to be in power.
Satanism as you're defining it here is all well and good, but there is a darker side (as in all religions) to some people who claim this title.
You can't ignore that either.

Oh, I completely agree.
I just don't feel I have the right to judge what was going on without knowing details and after my research. It may seem bizarre to mock sacrifice but there could be more behind it. Perhaps just carrying on an old tradition but with the awareness that real sacrifice is not necessary but the energies and thought behind it are what matters? Plus, mock sacrifice could be symbolic when carrying on old ways. I don't think it's commonly done and wouldn't take part in it myself but the reasoning behind it may not be as bad as it seems.

I'm of the opinion that praying to an invisible spirit to cleanse your spirit of sin is as bonkers as feigning human sacrifice. People get up tight over everything, regardless of its real-life validity. Unless your god(s) can call down fire to smite my enemies, I'm not interested in what mystical brouhaha you preach.
By that same token, it doesn't matter to me what you call your god(s), as they're all equally inapplicable to my life. So long as you're not actually hurting people, I have no qualms with what you believe. Christian or demonologist. I don't believe in good or evil, just that I have no right to judge you.

Demonology is the study of demons, it's not a religion...
Demonolatry is the worship and the followers are called demonolators.
I just wanted to clear that up.
