LOL I can't get past the first video. This guy is a total snake oil salesman. He's basically boxing this guy in.

As someone in the field of therapy, this is the exact opposite of how you want to help people. Force feeding solutions to people is not how to determine change. Although I suppose if you believe that "demons" are actual beings dwelling inside of you then this is meaningless. Personally, I view "demons" as a poetic way of talking about the issues we all deal with and skeletons we all have in our closets.

These exorcisms remind me of those fools "slain in the spirit" shaking and convulsing all over the stage when Bennie Hinn or whatever charlatain evangalist preacher touches them.

If either of these things is the stuff someone wants to take part in, fine. But imo this is total manipulation, overexciting emotions, confusing the "patient," and a great illustration of the power of suggestion.

I've been able to use therapy and psychology to help countless people find their way to peace with themselves and their "demons." I have also personally known and seen 3 people "exorcised" in person. One committed suicide later on, one shot his dad in the head and then attempted to kill himself, but missed and ended up in jail, and one ended up in prison for violent crimes.

Not such a good track record in my experience.

haha, that first video was great. I can't get over him making the guy apoligize for Hitler. That was just lame.

I have my own view on exorcism and possession though and how it all works. I'm not going to get deeply into it though because it's long, complicated, and will probably just weird most people out. I will just say that I don't think it has anything to do with the religion but the energy put behind an exorcism. How else would you explain successful exorcisms from different beliefs? For that matter, I dated someone that practiced satanism and got rid of something similar to a potregiest. How do you explain that if it has something to do with God?

Alright, but keep in mind this is just my opinion at this point. Recently I have been questioning a lot of things and learning stuff through research so for all you know some of my ideas could change. I really would never be able to say what I believe completely without actually seeing something like this happen for myself.

From my understanding of things so far I do not believe something actually enters a person in possession. Even though that my be possible under some rare circumstances I believe in most cases that possession is much like a parasitic attachment. I think that an entity latches on to a host with a sort of link. If I remember correctly there is also a physical creature that does something similar to what I am saying and controls the brain of a certain animal to do something. It is somewhat like that but on a subtle level. The reason I believe exorcisms may work regardless of religion is because of the intentions behind them. Strong thoughts and beliefs can be a very powerful tool when it comes to subtle reality. You are simply using some type of energy to detach a entity and even put up a fight with it.

Please tell me you recognize that this guy is not a therapist?? This is one of my biggest problems with religion. They set themselves up to heal people based on the power of the mind, rather than the power of medicine. Granted, mental power is a large part of any recovery, but if they guy has Schizophrenia it's not going to get cured by renouncing the devil. Honestly, it makes me furious that churches set themselves up as therapists and doctors when they use faulty theory instead of real methods with proven results. These priests are not qualified to tell you anything except what the general interpretations of random Biblical passages are.

As for exorcism itself, it's only useful to dispel disorders brought on by the mind itself, not biology. If you become convinced that you're possessed by a demon, then exorcism is the only way you're going to get cured. That doesn't mean it will cure Aunt Ginger's cancer, or cleanse your neighbour Tom's blood from viral encephalitis. Not does it mean germs are evil spirits, and I would like to see you prove me wrong on that part!
