The believer is happy. The doubter is wise.

If the believer is happy but the doubter is wise, which would you rather be?

Although what you say has some valilitity.

How is it that the doubter is wise because he is skeptical? Is it because he is unsure so he seeks to find what could be. But that could not be it because those who doubt do not always seek, they only do not know and are content to stay that way.

And are those who believe truly happy worrying that there loved ones might perish in some way that they shall not because the beliefs they have are not all of there loved ones truths?

Just some thoughts....

I would rather both believe and question. Believing does not always mean you are not open to new ideas.

Doubting everything is no wiser than believing everything. Balance is key.

The doubter is often a doubter by nature and uncontent being a believer. I am much happier as a doubter than a believer. Being a believer would go against my nature.

So....the doubter is happier as a doubter and the believer is happy as a believer...

Doubt and belief..

A double edged sword..

How much one doubts their belief, and how much one believes in doubt...

I see happiness as living in the same place as wisdom...

Without wisdom, happiness is just a charade of unconscious belief…

Wisdom brings the way of release from illusive burdens, and brings one closer to a happiness that isn’t clouded by this and that, and can stand the test of time…

Doubt doesn’t exist without belief, you can’t choose one or the other because doubt isn’t a conclusive way of life, it’s the transition to new belief…

To say that a believer is happier than a skeptic is no more to the point than to say that a drunk man is happier than a sober man.
