Tea
Any tea enthusiasts here? I love tea! Specifically hot tea. Of all kinds. Due to changes in my eating habits I tend to avoid drinking anything with caffeine in it,(which means Earl Gray *tear*) but there are still plenty of delicious herb teas I enjoy. When I buy teas they are usually Celestial Seasoning. I like their packaging but I just get what looks best(tea-wise). I try to get something new every time I get some. Right now I am enjoying a delicious white tea called Antioxidant Plum. The flavor was kind of bitter at first but it grew on me. Maybe because it has caffeine in it, hehe. I forgot to check before I bought it. Oh well..
It contains a bunch of vitamin C, some vitamin A and E, plum and stevia
I'm not entirely certain as to the health benefits of different teas, so if someone could enlighten me I would appreciate it.

I adore tea. I have some Irish Breakfast Tea brewing as I type.
Green tea is my favorite though.
Unfortunately, I don't know all of the health benefits. If I ever discover anything, I'll be sure to post it.

Well, if I remember correctly, tea has a ton of catechin polyphenols and caffeine which speed up the digestive process, which explains its recent boom in pop-culture. Caffeine, in general, can help lessen chances of getting parkinson's syndrome. Some tes contain EGCG, which can actually help with HIV therapy. Polyphenols can also help get rid of bad breath. Also, there are plenty of antioxodants in tea!
There are many other things positive that tea can do, but some things that people don't know are the negatives. Tea contains high levels of flouride. While one might think this is good for teeth, it can become toxic and cause colon cancer, renal damage, neurological probems. Tannin can cause esophageal and nasal cancer, oxolates can cause kidney damage.

I just drink regular tea, but I'm interested in trying all the others out there...I'm like Patty, I love drinking it warm, but I also love it while it's cold.

Very interesting. I didn't know a lot of this.
Here is the result of a search I did on the possible health affects of teas:
Reference for Potential effects of tea on health - Search.com
Also, here is the link to information on Tannin which specifically relates it to its content in tea, wine, and fruit:
Reference for Tannin - Search.com
And EGCG:
Reference for Epigallocatechin gallate - Search.com

I like making tea for other people too. It is relaxing in itself for some reason.
