dairy question

acutelyaware is offline
so i have been on this saving money thing lately and freezing all my food so it doesnt expire, and i froze my yogurt and cottage cheese and milk. apparently it doesnt turn out the same..and makes you sick? does anyone know why this is happening?

I've never heard of that before. I've drank frozen milk before, or previously frozen milk. Like I stuck it in the back of the fridge and it froze, just thaw it out and drink it...it should be all good.

the proteins in the milk seperate when u freeze it. just let it thaw in the fridge and remember to shake it up well before u drink it and there shouldnt be a problem

IDK why the yogurt would do that because if you take that gogurt stuff and freeze it, it is AWESOME. But they're right about the milk thing. It also says that the texture won't be the same and that you shouldn't thaw it except in the fridge otherwise bacteria gets in it and can make you sick. And I don't know if freezing cottage cheese is okay, just googled it and several websites say that it's gross after it thaws.
