To anyone who doesn't have a tattoo but wants one...
What tattoo would you consider? I've thought about getting one off and on of hearts, pentacles, crosses, or butterflies but I just don't think I could dedicate myself to even a small discreet one.
I've thought about putting a tattoo on my chest, lower back, shoulder, or ankle, even the hip bone but still I don't about getting a tattoo.

this one:
Had planned for half-sleeve this summer, but got some estimates from local tatoo artists which amounted to over 2 grand USD, considering if i do 10hrs + @ 170-180 /hr. And considering the money my parents need to spend for my transitioning to college, decided to raincheck it for next summer )))

I've really been considering getting an evolution piece. I saw this picture this guy drew on one of the digital art forums I visit, it was called 'self portrait of a Neanderthal', I thought the style was fuckin' awesome, I was originally thinking about the standard 5 man, monkey to ape thing drawn in that same type of style, but to change it up a little bit and get more detail in each picture I was going to go with just 3 stages of man instead. Considering it on the inside left bicept, but that's subject to change. I don't know how much it would cost, this is pretty much as far as I've taken it, the idea, but it sounds really cool and I know it would be totally original, I think I would draw it up myself (as I like to draw and I know exactly how I want it) then take it to the artist and have them recreate it as best they could.
But the whole permanent deal is still a bit of a commitment for me, I don't know If I'm ready to take that step quite yet.

Something simple without being boring, something sweet but minus the wimpy and lame. It'll be somewhere around the calf muscle area of my leg. It won't be big, but it won't be small.
I apologize for the shit-quality of the image. My scanner sucks. And I had to pull apart a jewel case of one of my favorite CDs to get to this image. It's just a simply drawn dove kind of thing, and I think it looks cool. And it'll probably look rad as a tattoo.
If I were to get one, it'll be of that, and it'll probably be quite a few inches in diameter. You know, nothing too big but it won't be at all small. And it'll be somewhere on my leg. Once I gain weight. Ha ha!
The reason why I chose this is because it sort of a logo of my favorite band. And it has simplicity. Simplicity is great. All major definitions of the word apply.

I like that idea, I personally think it sounds better without the "listen at your own risk".

I've wanted a tattoo for a long time, but I've never been able to decide on one... or where to have it.
I need something that reflects my cynical nihilism...
