Trying To Lead You In The Right Away

Why?
Why don't i tell you

that the way your living
is a travesty of nations

that where you'll be
will be nowhere to ponder

nowhere to gasp in awe of
nowhere to drink from the cup of life

because im afraid
simply afraid

but afraid is soo stupid
when i know im right

that i could save you
save you straight up, and outright

but i dont tell you
i dont save you from it all

then the day comes
that you finally fall

you then look at me
with your life having passed you by

asking me...
asking me why

why did i let you?
let you slip and fall

when i knew all along
knew what was right and what was wrong

but i scream in bloodshot tears
"You wouldnt have listened to me! You would've cast me aside!"

but you scream in depressed memories of old
"but you KNEW, KNEW what was right!"

you couldve done something!
done it til i knew it was alright!

alright to change my ways
to change to the good

to change to what you knew all along
but you didnt... now its no good

no time to do it
no time to change

and to think
you knew all along

you knew what was right
but you were scared to fall

to be cast aside from me your friend
who didnt know shit at all

but what i said mattered to you
and you knew i would shut you down

say what you thought to be right was wrong
and make you temporarily drown

but you KNEW what was right!
not thought, KNEW

how could you have let me fall
now i will be damned forever...lifeless as a doll

i sit here in hell
pondering the days

when you could have saved me
from liquid hot rays

you KNEW
KNEW all along...

yet i pushed you aside
and u were too afraid

one day let the world understand
this life is a parade

dont be the float above the sky
be the one who spreads the word

if you know whats right
dont let people make you think its absurd

so tell that person
you know who they are

because you KNOW whats right
before its too late...
