The TV, through the blaring sound and laugh track, tells stories to listeners
much like my mildly drunken Grandfather, who pats his round gullet and
relaxes on the porch, sucking down sweaty glasses of Rum and Coke
Grams switched him to non alcoholic hours ago, 'cause he's started to make sense again
He quotes Henry Ford, and talks about cars, history and simplicity
“You can have a car in any color as long as its black”
He grins maniacally as I quote it along with him
Thank you history class, for making Grandpa proud of me
His glasses watch the sun, as it aches for the softness of the horizon
the brightness falls to lounge aganst his face, echoing the soft gold skin
it peels away the years of adulthood from his rasined body, his softened
exterior speaks more then his smile could, the smile I sometimes see on me
Given the chance, would he turn back his precious pocket watch, or resest the dawn?
Burnt memories of kids splashing amber sprinkles are the ones who know

You are aesthetically pleasing,
the reason for which I first noticed in you.
And later I found your personality equally pleasing.
I also noted your chest to waist ratio is suitable for birthing.
Therefore, I think you should live in my house.
