Northanger Abbey and other Jane Austen novels

I am a big fan of the Jane Austen books. I read Pride and Prejudice in 11th grade and just finished Northanger Abbey. Pride and Prejudice was amazing throughout the entire book. But when I read Northanger Abbey I had a very different reaction.

I thought the entire thing was great until she actually got to the Abbey in question. Is that weird? Has anybody even read Northanger Abbey and if you have are you willing to talk to me about it?

No one else I know has read it!

Any other Jane Austen is good too!

I've never read these books, sweetie, I'm sorry. ;-;

What was so weird about it? Or is it possible to describe?

Well, the story is great but when she gets to the Abbey things get a little weird. And you can tell that Austen is making fun of her character but then she gets sent away by the General and every thing just moves so fast that it felt like she was bored with it. I thought it could have been better if she played up Mr Thorpe more. (Which was the man version of a Gold Digger) And had a sweeter ending with Mr Tinley (the hero).
