Favorite Books

So what are some of your favorite books and/or authors? Also, what are you reading now?

Right now I am reading the Song of Ice and Fire series by George R. R. Martin and the Wheel of Time series by Robert Jordan. Both are absolutely phenominal. If you are into epic fantasy novels, you should definitely check these out.

As far as all time favorites go, I'm a big fan of "Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance" by Robert Pirsig, "The Stand" by Steven King, "A Tale of Two Cities" by Charles Dickens, "Brave New World" by Aldous Huxley, The Hitchhikers Series by Douglas Adams, and "The Da Vinci Code" by Dan Brown. There are bazillions of others, so I figured I'd just give the highlights

Cats cradle by Kurt Vonnegut. First book that made me laugh out loud, It's an excellent read.

P.S. Catcher in the rye is overrated. I could never understand the grasp that book had on so many people. *shrugs*

Well, I totally have to agree about the Wheel of Time books, and I finally got around to reading the Da Vinci Code, thought I should before I go see the movie, and I thought it was amazing. Then I also love the Great Divorce and Chronicles, really most all C.S. Lewis, Koontz, Lescrourt and I would have to put The Fountainhead, Ayn Rand on the top of the list too.

I just finished High Fidelity for my english class and it was very good. But I'm still a huge fan of anything by Dan Brown.

im reading the Joy Luck Club for english class. i don't really like the book and i hated the book Tale of Two Cites. sorry but i thought it was soooo boring. i like books by dean Knootz and dan Brown and stuff. My fav. book would have to be the Taking by Dean Knootz. that book is creepy. especially since i read it in my cabin in Lake Arrowhead near where the story takes place. its a page turner.
