I'm thinking because they don't expect it to do very well to begin with, they usually release those types of movies during the holiday season because the figures don't accurately reflect the success of the movie, they say something like "oh well, of course it didn't do that well, who goes to the movies on Christmas?" or some shit like that...that'd be my guess.

Shit, I'm gonna see it though, I think it looks 100x's better than AVP was...
