Opening day!

So the Cleveland Indians had their opener today against the White Sox and guess what?
We did not lose! I am so excited. The final score was 10-8.

Anyone else just as excited as I am?

how about that opening game? Now that MLB is off drugs it seems more betterer.
it was good, i enjoyed it. i read an article after the game where Brad Penny said that he was actually struggling during the game. which is really amazing because he seemed really good. but just goes to show how far Penny has come. his stats have been improving steadily from being a 'first half' pitcher, to being a year long pitcher.

but then again, the dodgers did play the Giants. beating them is not much of a great obstacle, but it is good to have a "warm up" game ^_^.

on paper, the dodgers have the most complete team in all of baseball, no argument. but that's just on paper. i just hope Jones can bounce back, Ethier, Loney, and Kemp can continue doing what they have been doing, and either Garciaparra, or LaRoche can be accomplish what is expected of them. if they do, they should be able to win the world series

^^ How you Dodger fans likin' Joe Torre? I hope that he does as good (or better) than he did as a manager with you guys.

I'm a diehard Yankees fan but, a big reason for that was because of Joe Toree back then. I'll be keeping my eyes on the dodgers while I watch my Yankees though. I gotta rep my hood, you know? lol

I like Torre. it's a lot better than who we had before, Grady Little. The players seem to like him and respect him too. but we'll see.

Yeh man Brad Penny has CyYoung potential...dude just needs to stay frickin healthy! We always have some of the best pitching...now we gotta start scoring some fukin runs!

Giants do suck, but theyll always be our foes...we did exactly what i was expectin that first game really, shuttin em out..

What a score gettin Jones, I think he'll come back and hit alot of homers..he;s good with men on base, thats what is needed most...i agree if everyone stays fucking healthy, then sky's the limit...

but i wasnt approvin of Ethier gettin the start over Pierre...but maybe Torre sees somethin i didnt..Torre is exactly what Dodgers have needed the past few years...we had loads of talent but wimpy management...

the winning spirit is back in So Cali

Torre saw whatever one else saw in spring training, that is Ethier's 6 HRs with an above .300 avg. while pierre had less than a .200 avg.

although i do think it is a waste of money to not play Pierre, i think we should cut our loss now and trade him. we have way too many outfielders.

True, but it's spring training...Juan Pierre has already proved himself as a big Leeaguer...we will just have to see
