Being a big fan of Pitbulls as pets, I think the prick deserves what he gets. People that fight the dogs like that are doing it to get that thrill of seeing blood, seeing pain, and of course seeing a fight. Then you bring in the gambling aspect, it's just wrong. And shit like this gives Pitts even more of an uncalled for bad reputation.
So do I feel for him, not in the least bit.... He had it MADE, was a huge NFL star with multiple endorsement deals. He's thrown all of that away with this, I highly, highly doubt he will ever play football again, so I hope he saved up some of his millions to live off of after he's released from prison.
Also on the note of his apology today, I'm not totally buying it. People say it was from his heart but I dunno, Steve Berman said it best, how can four and a half minutes worth of an apology make up for the 6+ years of dogfighting that Vick was involved in.

Yes, I love animals too, and yes what he did was terribly wrong... However...
If you look at some of the punishments other NFL stars received for things such as murder, you realize that Vick is being made an example of, SEVERELY, which is something I am very VERY much against because if this truly is the land of the free, of equal rights, and democracy. Then should it not also be a country in which we hold everyone to the same standards? Whether it be the rich or the poor, the famous and the unfamous, white or black,...
I think he should serve a maximum of one year in jail and a fine. I do think he should be allowed to continue to play football, that is if any team out there is willing to put him on their roster.

I think he deserves at least an investigation into the quality of his character: if he treats dogs like that, with a complete disrespect for life, I wonder how he's treated women and others in the past as well. While I do agree with the statement that, I think, Anthrax made concerning the fact that other sports stars have gotten much lighter sentances, I don't think that makes it right to reduce his in light of that. Bad shit is bad shit, and even though others committed worse crimes than he did, at least SOMEONE who did SOMETHING bad is getting at least a quasi-satisfactory sentance.
One final word:
His apology is absolute, utter, and irrefutably bullSHIT. Why? Simple answer: listen to it and discover the gigantic PR, give-me-pity, line that he plants, that being, "through this I discovered Jesus." COME THE FUCK ON. I hope that means, because he obviously is enlightened through objectification, torture, and cruelty, that when hes getting ass-fucked (or resorting to ass-fucking) he sees the fucking messiah appear right fucking before his eyes.
You make a good point, a good person to look at is Lindsay Lohan, you think if you or I were arrested for drunk driving and later found to be in possesion of cocaine we would be serving just ONE day in jail. I think she is really hot and all but c'mon one day in jail. I don't think that is going to wake her up to where her life is headed if she doesn't straighten up.
Back on topic, I highly doubt he'll play again because like you mentioned, I don't think any team will take him. You also have to take into account how long he will be out of the NFL, with no training, no practice, I'm sure he will work out in prison but how rough around the edges on the feild will he be when he's released. I don't see him being the same person he is now, now that can be a good thing or bad.
Edit: Let's not forget that in his confession he stated that he killed between 6-8 dogs with his bare hands.
As i said earlier..
He sucked balls anyway..
The vick family is a failure...
I feel sorry for his parents
But not only for him...
But for marcus as well
He fucked up his career too...

Ya but sad thing about itt, is he won't get what he deserves... and that whole public apology will score him points with everyone lol... all of that shit was a big script written by his Lawyer, and Agent, etc...i bet he had a hard time remebering it all... the whole "I found Jesus" statement bwaahahaha just shows how dumb this gang-banger is... Oh he will defnley play in the League again lol
I don't feel bad for him either, anyone who is capable of killing a dog just because it wasnt up to fighting standards or under achieving...and dude didn't express any remorse for the dogs, people like this get no sympathy from me.

Here is my opinion on Vick, you either like it or deal with it.
Michael Vick deserves what he is getting, he most certainly does, I never liked him as a player but the man does have some talent. Think of all the numbers he has puttin up with the terrible receivers he has had. The man is good. As for everything with his case. We need to stop bringing the man down so much. He is in fact human and of course has feelings just like everyone here. Sure we can all go out and say we hope he goes to jail and all this crap but what you have to realize is that he's gonna have to serve his time by HIMSELF. He said he takes responsibility for his actions and that he wants to make himself a better man and i believe him. Not once in my life have i supported Vick until now. Most people are judging him off of one event in his life. Nobody is thinking about the good he has done. So if you say that he sucks and all this then your just stating your biased opinion. Look up his stats, he isnt no where near a bad QB. Take some time to actually read this and understand what i have posted before anyone gets defensive.
