This In case you haven't heard is the new game forthcoming from Will Wright, Creator of the Sims Games. It involves creating and evolving a race of creature from the single cell stage through the discovery of space travel and intergalactic colonization... Wow... The game will be revolutionary and *could* change the face of videogames. I'm definitely gonna lose sleep over this thing when it comes out... Here's some links to info on it.

Yeah I'm waiting for this game. It evelves pretty much like a real game time line from the single-cell (pacman) to an organism (sim) to conquest (civilization).
Really looking forward to this.

My buddy got it the day it came out, came home and tried to register, and someone had already swiped the registration code.

Ian got it at exactly midnight the night it came out. The guy in front of us let us go first. It was very nice of him. Come to find out later that he had purchased every single copy after we got ours. Yay Galactic copy! It's so pretty.

What I hate is that it's getting so many bad reviews for the dumbest things that shouldn't even matter.
Yeah the graphics aren't the best, and whoopdedoo the RDM thing is a mess and there's not much depth, but why should that matter? What happened to just playing a simple game. It does what it's supposed to and that's to entertain. Hell, I think it's waaay better than the Sims. And I LOVE the Sims.

And when you think about it, it has a great deal of depth. It's basically 4 different types of games in one.

People just don't know how to hav fun anymore. It pisses me off.

I haven't played it yet, so I can't judge.

Games like this are always dissected rapidly, Fable was done the same way. The problem is that the developers promise more than they can deliver usually--even on great games, like Fable.

Don't worry, in time, I'm sure more people will appreciate Spore. I still can't wait to play it and that means waiting until they release it for the 360...
