Mirror's Edge is an upcoming first-person action-adventure video game that is being developed by EA Digital Illusions CE (DICE) for PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and Windows.[2] The game will be released on these platforms simultaneously.[3]

The game was announced by Electronic Arts on July 10, 2007 and will be powered by the Unreal Engine 3 with the addition of a new lighting solution, developed by DICE.[1][2] The game has a realistic, brightly-coloured style and differs from other first-person perspective video games in allowing for a wider range of actions—such as sliding under barriers, tumbling, wall-running, and shimmying across ledges—and greater freedom of movement, in having no HUD, and in allowing the legs, arms, and torso of the character to be visible on-screen.[2][4]

The game is set in a conformist dystopia in which communication is heavily monitored by a totalitarian regime, and so a network of runners, including the main character, Faith, are used to transmit messages while evading government surveillance.

The story basically takes a hint from the book 1984 and puts it's own twist on it. I'm putting attention to this game as I personally think it will be a underground gaming gem. Underground being a game that's not widely heard of.

Wow! This seems quite interesting. Hopefully the price tag won't be like most games for the 360 and I will get it and check it out.

Even if the price tag is like other 360 games it will only be a matter of time before the price drops. I know i'm checking out this game.

I've known about this game for a while. Read about it about 4 months ago in a magazine talking about the biggest games to look forward to in '08. Always go towards bright colors in the game. Especially red. Watch it again and notice how whenever something is red she runs to it. This is going to be the first mainstream parkour game.

You know, I've noticed that...the trend seems to be that the price drops after a couple of months of the game coming out, which I'm not complaining about at all...

Just be patient, Blassa, it'll be within your price range...and if not, well, I'll buy it and you can borrow it from me =P

I haven't been hearing or reading much about this game. It's intriguing and has a nice concept, but will it actually be any good? Parkour, but with a lot of action and adventure goin' on. Should be interesting.
