John supposedly gets killed in the future...well why not send a reprogrammed terminator, or better yet, a human soldier, back just prior to his death to stop him from dying? Or right when the humans are about to win the war, why can't the machines send something prior to the end to stop their demise? I'm thinking too hard now at such an ungodly hour in the morning.
