Wow guys, a lot of these answers really surprise me...
You don't think it would benifit the president of the US to know how the internet works, let alone know how to use it? Did I hear that right?
The internet is a tool, if you know how to use a tool compared to someone who doesn't, you have an advantage... I would think knowing what the internet is and how to use it would be incredibly useful to the president, he would be completely up to date on world issues, be able to send and recieve emails (which is a lot more useful than memo's that take days to reach their destination), be able to communicate with world leaders on a whim, dude, there are countless benifits to knowing this shit...
McCain not knowing how to use the internet makes him seem like an old stubborn asshole who already has all the right answers and doesn't need to look anything up on the "whachoo call it"...
I'm not saying it's absolutely 100% essential, but without a doubt, it would help the man or woman do their job a lot better.
edit: after reading my post, I realized it would really only matter if everything was legitimate and nobody was corrupt...so fuck it, disregard this, because it isn't and they arent...
