It's really sad that's what the uniform means to you, and many other soldiers like you, very sad indeed.
Do you remember what the uniform meant to the French when the Americans liberated them?
It's gone from that, to knowing you're going to kill someone once you put your signature on the dotted line... Quite the radical change I would say...
