That's a side-effect of giving that 110% to that someone that you care about. You'll be fine eventually though. That was exactly what happened during the last breakup that I went through. Ironically enough, we wound up getting right back together. Not to say that the same thing will happen to you two (or that it won't) but, love is a crazy, crazy thing which is ofter underestimated. Go figure, right?

Your friends and your family are by far the most important people in your life, especially when it comes to things like this. A lover will come and go and until you find the right one (which you will, give it time) it is going to get harder but, friends and family are going to be there for you for life.
Just a word of advice though: when your friends and family show a really big dislike towards someone, it is been shown in my experience that whatever they are saying may be true or, that whatever they may be not so happy about, might have an impact on you or whatever relationship you hold with said lover, be it directly or indirectly. Try and hear them out.
