The way I figure it, I could at least get part of the service in before they start conscripting people that don't want to, and the National Guard is like doing Boy Scouts all over again, but to a higher caliber.
Hopefully, I won't go to Iraq, but we would serve both State and Federal Jurisdictions....so that makes it very...interesting.
I feel that being able to serve nearer in my hometown would benefit everyone, including my family, and make me feel as if I am actually doing something.
