Well, I am not usually a person to judge too deeply into people's religious beliefs although I do have friends who are atheist and whatnot. It all depends on the business and the type of person, I wouldnt want to stereotype atheist or people of other religions as lacking in commitment, but it certainly can be the case sometimes. People can lack commitment even if they are Christians, it all depends on the person. I find it frustrating too when people just go on and dont believe in God or whatnot, (when I speak to them in person forums are a different matter) but what can you do. All I can say is that it is better to examine a person individually rather than base it on a religious belief.
